Good balance for Rioja in 2013

It has been achieved to obtain the maximum sales volume reached before the crisis, which was 272 million liters in 2007, exceeding that figure by almost six million liters. The largest sales growth was in foreign markets -anything less than a 7%-, which has allowed our Denomination reach the historical record exports, up from 100 million liters. Also it should be noted the success of the strategy Rioja to adopt as a priority objective to specialize in the categories of most value and convert the image of the wines aged in his spearhead. The categories of Reserva and Gran Reserva Rioja have helped has become one of the most prestigious wine regions. We have recently checked with the successes achieved by several wineries from Rioja in the international press, which has placed them at the top of the podium, as recently mentioned in this space.
